Team 100: Wildhats

FIRST Robotics Team 100 is located on the San Francisco Peninsula and consists of students from Woodside High School. Team 100 joined the FIRST Robotics Competition in 1995 and went on to win the FIRST Championship that year. In 2016 Carlmont High School spilt off from Team 100 and created their own team, FRC Team 199. The Wildhats show their enthusiasm for FIRST both on and off the playing field.

FIRST is an international organization aimed at inspiring students to develop skills in engineering and technology. FIRST is the foundation for the FRC, FTC, and FLL competitions, held annually. The program allows high school students to work side by side with professional adult mentors, in order to learn skills varying from animation to engineering, business and shop fabrication. The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Team 100 would not be able to continue our participation in FRC if it weren't for the help of our wonderful sponsors.
Our sponsors include: Woodside High School Foundation, Sequoia Union High School District, Aditazz, The Tate Family, The Beaver Family, Nvidia, Pyxis Engineering, Alan Steel and Supply Company, Woodcraft, GitHub, SolidWorks, Chucks Donuts

FIRST POWER UP, the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition game, finds our teams trapped in an 8bit video game! Teams use power cubes to defeat the boss.
Each three-team alliance has three ways to help defeat the boss:
1. Owning the scale or their switch. Ownership occurs when the scale or alliance’s switch is tipped in their favor. Robots collect and deliver power cubes to gain ownership.
2. Playing power ups. Alliances exchange power cubes for power ups. Power ups provide a timed advantage during the match. There are three power ups that can be played: Force, Boost, and Levitate.
3. Climbing the scale tower. Robots work together to climb the scale tower to face the boss.
